More than 68 per cent of the online transactions in Viet Nam are
vulnerable because of a newly detected security hole in the Secure
Socket Layer (SSL) protocol version 3.0.
Hackers have not accessed the confidential files in the computer system
of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), said
Nguyen Huu Chinh, director of the ministry''s IT Department.
Viet Nam remains among the countries most vulnerable to internet attacks, with 40 per cent of websites containing security loopholes, according to the countrys top internet security firm, BKAV.
Experts from Bkav, a leading Vietnamese Internet security company, have
said that spyware, malware and DDoS (distributed denial of service)
attacks will continue to pose major risks in 2014.
The Bkav Internet Security Corporation announced on Monday that it can
now provide 12-month electronic customs software for free on the website
www.eHaiQuan.vn.
