Le Phuoc Vu, chairman of giant steel maker Hoa Sen, has been nominated
for the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year award, accounting firm Ernst
and Young Viet Nam announced on Monday.
Major Vietnamese business people have geared up to take over State-owned
enterprises, which were recently equitised, in the role of strategic
partners.
Le Phuoc Vu, chairman of the management board of Hoa Sen Group,
yesterday won the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 award, the
prestigious international prize which EY initiated in 1986.
Hoa Sen Group, Vietnam''s second-biggest listed steel company by market
value, expects a 10-fold jump in its sales to North America within a
year of any agreement on a Pacific trade accord, Chairman Le Phuoc Vu
said.
