The Vietnamese Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development (MARD) met with the Ministry of Environment and Food of Denmark (MFVM) yesterday in HCM City at a conference on safety management of the value chain for pork products.
The HOSE-listed PetroVietnam Fertiliser and Chemicals Corporation (DPM)
has opened a new factory to produce UFC85, an essential feedstock in
urea production.
After signing numerous cooperation agreements with
Viet Nam, Denmark is quickly becoming a potential trade and investment
partner of the country, paving the way for enterprises to promote

Danish businesses are eager to collaborate with Vietnamese companies in
the food, climate and energy sectors, Mogens Jensen, the Danish Minister
for Trade and Development Cooperation, said yesterday.
The Embassy of Denmark in Viet Nam has mandated ANZ Viet Nam to be the
sole fund-holding bank for the Embassy''s US$6.5-million energy
efficiency fund.
Viet Nam imported dairy products worth US$838.1 million in the first
nine months of this year, a month-on-month rise of 4.2 per cent,
according to the General Department of Viet Nam Customs.
Two-way trade between Viet Nam and Denmark is forecast to reach US$500
million with $305 million coming from Vietnamese exports, according to
the Ministry of Industry and Trade''s European Market Management
Department.
