Ten years after coming to Viet Nam, Starbucks has achieved significant milestones and become one of the leading brands in the Vietnamese coffee market.

Since the opening its first store in HCM City, Starbucks Vietnam has spread to nine Vietnamese cities and provinces and has over 1,200 partners in 92 operating stores.

"I am proud of our accomplishments over the past decade and this is just the beginning. This journey would not have been possible without the support of our customers and partners. We are very grateful and want to share our achievements with them," said Patricia Marques, general manager of Starbucks Vietnam.

"We look forward to the future of Starbucks in Viet Nam – quality, elevated coffee experiences for our customers, to contribute positively to our communities and give more than we take from the planet will remain our key priorities," she said.

Along with a decade of coffee inspiration for customers, Starbucks Vietnam, together with its partners, has also created a positive impact on the local communities it serves.

Since 2016, Starbucks Vietnam has supported Opportunity Youth and Asia Foundation with professional and life skills training for young people. During the COVID pandemic, frontline partners were given extra support such as food and coffee.

Together with partners, Starbucks Vietnam has extended efforts to work with charitable organisations and supported community projects.

In support of Starbucks 2030 goals of reducing carbon, water, and waste footprints by 50 per cent, Starbucks Vietnam also focuses on sustainability efforts.

Starbucks Thiso Mall store is amongst the first stores in the Asia Pacific region certified as a green store in the Asia Pacific region.

Campaigns encouraging customers to shift away from single-use include the "Personal Cup" campaign launched to encourage customers to enjoy their favourite drinks with their own serve ware.

For energy conservation, Starbucks Vietnam has partnered with the WWF to run Earth Hour every year.

On the occasion of its 10th anniversary in Viet Nam, the company opened the newly renovated inaugural New World store and will celebrate with nationwide anniversary promotions during May.

In 2013, Starbucks made its footprint in Vietnam by opening its first store in HCM City. There are now more than 92 stores in nine cities and provinces including HCM City, Ha Noi City, Hung Yen, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Binh Duong Province, Hoi An, and Phu Quoc Island. — VNS
