HA NOI (Biz Hub)— Shares closed this morning's trading session lower on both national stock exchanges.
On the HCM City Exchange, the VN-Index lost 0.07 per cent to reach 506.07 points.
More than 43 million shares changed hands, with a total value of VND677.45 billion (US$32.25 million).
The VN30-Index, tracking the southern city's top shares by capitalisation and liquidity, however, showed a slight gain of 0.01 per cent to hit 562.31 points.
Eight codes managed to increase, compared with 10 losers.
Losers included big players such as Bao Viet Group (BVH), Vietinbank (CTG), FPT Group (FPT), Hoa Sen Group (HSG) and Vingroup (VIC).
On the Ha Noi Exchange, the HNX-Index tumbled 0.51 per cent to 67.58 points, and the HNXFF-Index, composed of stock with a minimum free-float rate of 5 per cent, also lost 0.41 per cent to reach 67.63 points.
With 33.22 million shares traded, the total value reached VND254.9 billion ($12.13 million).
The HXN30-Index[S1] decreased 0.78 per cent to 126.59 points.— VNS
