Shares mixed this morning


Shares closed up on the HCM City Exchange this morning, while losing in Ha Noi during the launch of the new set of indices on the northern bourse.

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares closed up on the HCM City Exchange this morning, while losing in Ha Noi during the launch of the new set of indices on the northern bourse.

On the HCM City Exchange, the VN-Index gained 0.09 per cent to reach 508.25 points on the trading of 42.8 million shares.

The total trading value reached VND531.27 billion (US$25.29 million).

Also, the VN30-Index, tracking the southern city's top shares by capitalisation and liquidity, reached 568.81 points, falling 0.04 per cent, however.

On the Ha Noi Exchange, the HNX-Index lost 0.23 per cent to 65.04 points, with a total value of VND130.55 billion ($6.21 million) on the trading of more than 14.8 million shares.

The HNXFF-Index, which was launched this morning, lost 0.15 per cent to reach 65.09 points.

The HNXFF-Index, including stocks with a minimum free float rate of 5 per cent, is to co-exist with the current HNX-Index, then replace the HNX-Index in one year's time.— VNS
