Shares lose in the early trade


Shares opened lower on both the national stock exchanges this morning.

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares opened lower on both the national stock exchanges this morning.

The VN-Index dropped 0.22 per cent to end at 583.51 points on the exchange of more than 68.6 million shares.

A total of VND1.2 trillion, or US$57 million, was injected into the market during the morning trading.

Most of the stocks were in the red with 19 blue chips finishing lower, dragging down the VN30-Index, which tracks the 30 largest shares by capitalisation and liquidity, by 0.46 per cent to close at 659.69 points. Only four codes managed to gain this morning.

On the Ha Noi Exchange, the HNX-Index closed this morning at 82.28 points, a drop of 0.43 per cent, while the HNXFF-Index slid 0.27 per cent to end at 81.91 points.

The losses of the blue chips also pulled the HNX30-Index down, which closed at 168.19 points, 0.39 per cent lower.

With more than 45 million shares traded this morning, the total value reached VND416 billion, or $19.8 million. — VNS
