HA NOI (Biz Hub) — After closing in the red yesterday, shares continued to slide this morning.
On the HCM City Exchange, the VN-Index dropped 0.96 per cent to end at 567.85 points.
The trading value totalled VND1.14 trillion, or $54.2 million, on the exchange of nearly 74.4 million shares.
Most of the blue chips were in the red. Among the southern city's largest shares by capitalisation and liquidity, only PetroVietnam Transportation (PVT) managed to gain this morning, while Vietcombank (VCB) and HCM City Infrastructure Investment (CII) maintained their reference prices.
The losses from 27 blue chips dragged down the VN30-Index by 1.18 per cent to end at 636.34 points.
The shares on the Ha Noi Exchange also closed lower this morning.
The HNX-Index slid 1.02 per cent to finish at 79.64 points, while the HNXFF-Index lost 0.89 points to end at 79.2 points.
Tracking the capital city's top shares, the HNX30-Index slid 1.14 per cent to close at 157.44 points.
With more than 147 million shares traded, the trading value reached VND414.4 billion, or $19.7 million. — VNS
