HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares closed higher on the HCM City Stock Exchange this morning, but ended slightly lower on the Ha Noi Exchange, following losses yesterday.
The VN-Index added 0.45 per cent to reach 544.19 points.
More than 53 million shares were traded, worth VND601.4 billion or $30.05 million.
The VN30-Index, which tracks the southern bourses top shares by capitalisation and liquidity, advanced 0.64 per cent to finish at 596.56 points.
Among the large-cap stocks, there were 12 gainers and 9 losers.
The Kinh Do Corporation (KDC), Hoa Phat Group (HPG) and PetroVietnam Drillin (PVD) were among those who posted gains, while Vietcombank (VCB), Sacombank (STB) and Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAG) tumbled.
On the Ha Noi Exchange, the HNX-Index slid by 0.07 per cent to close at 74.52 points, and the HNXFF-Index, comprising stocks with a minimum free float rate of 5 per cent, fell by 0.01 per cent to end at 75.22 points.
The HNX30-Index, however, added 0.13 per cent to stand at 147.83 points.
With 36.9 million shares changing hands, the trading value reached VND267.6 billion or $12.7 million. — VNS
