HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Stock markets across Asia saw a stronger rebound on Thursday with the exception of Hong Kong and Viet Nam.
In Japan, the Tokyo Stock Exchange Tokyo Price Index gained 12.95 points to close at 1,317.91, and the Nikkei 225 soared by 178.90 points to close at 16,067.57. In Singapore, the Straits Times Index closed 2.77 points up at 3,299.25.
In China, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index added 8.03 points to close at 2,315.93 while Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index dropped by 207.69 points to close at 24,168.72.
In Viet Nam, the VN-Index slumped by 9.86 points to end at 615.8 on the HCM City Stock Exchange, and the HNX-Index tumbled by 2.08 points to finish at 88.07 on the Ha Noi market. — VNS
