HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Officials from the Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam (BIDV) and Vietcombank now assume senior posts at Agribank.

Agribank announced this on Monday, following the appointment of State Bank of Viet Nam Governor Nguyen Van Binh.

BIDV Deputy General Director Pham Duc An is vice chairman, and Vietcombank's Credit Risk Management Department director is deputy general director, at Agribank.

According to VnEconomy online, the total outstanding loans of Agribank reached about VND530.77 trillion, or $25.27 billion, at the end of May. Lending for the agriculture and rural sector represented nearly 72 per cent of the amount.

This year, the bank witnessed satisfactory credit growth in several sectors, including seafood, at 5.6 per cent, food, at 3 per cent, and breeding, at 4.1 per cent. — VNS
