HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Standard Chartered Private Equity (SCPE) yesterday announced the acquisition of a significant minority stake in Golden Gate Trade and Services Joint Stock Company (Golden Gate).
The largest domestic developer and operator of Asian full-service restaurants in Viet Nam, Golden Gate currently owns and operates 11 proprietary restaurant brands across more than 60 restaurants located in and around Ha Noi and HCM City. SCPE will provide strategic inputs for Golden Gate's business planning and support the management in its expansion plans.
This is the first investment in Viet Nam for SCPE and represents the latest addition to its extensive portfolio in Southeast Asia. SCPE invests in successful businesses across sectors and is actively seeking opportunities in the region.
