Doan Thai Son, general director of the Legal Department of the State Bank of Viet Nam, has been appointed deputy governor of SBV, according to a prime ministerial decision.
Doan Thai Son, general director of the Legal Department of the State Bank of Viet Nam, has been appointed deputy governor of SBV, according to a prime ministerial decision.
Son, born in 1970, will replace current deputy governor Nguyen Phuoc Thanh, who will retire on January 10.
SBV will be headed by governor Le Minh Hung and his five deputies -- Nguyen Thi Hong, Nguyen Dong Tien, Dao Minh Tu, Nguyen Kim Anh and Doan Thai Son.
In July, on the basis of the National Assembly’s Resolution 42/2017/QH14 on piloting the bad debt settlement of credit institutions, the governor of SBV decided to set up the Steering Committee for “Restructuring the Credit Institution System.”
Son was appointed as deputy head of the Steering Committee. — VNS
