HCM CITY — Financial technology company Payoneer has recently emphasised its commitment to support gaming developers and publishers in Việt Nam with secure and efficient cross-border payment solutions.

At the company’s recent regional networking event, "VIP Connect: Going Global - Building a Cross-Border Game App Powerhouse", Việt Vũ, country manager at Payoneer Vietnam, highlighted that the global gaming market is projected to reach a staggering US$212.4 billion in revenue by 2026, with mobile gaming accounting for a significant 42 per cent. 

He noted that Việt Nam ranks among the top five countries in the world for game publishing, with games reaching 4.2 billion downloads globally, 2.5 times higher than the global growth rate average. Việt Nam's gaming industry is booming, with revenue from games and applications projected to reach US$2.7 billion by 2026.

“We see great potential for Vietnamese gaming businesses as they build international partnerships. Our international payment solutions help simplify cross-border trade, enabling SMBs to transact globally seamlessly,” Việt said.

By using the company’s solutions, customers can receive payments in multiple currencies directly into their Payoneer’s accounts, making it easy to receive funds from clients, vendors, and global marketplaces worldwide and enabling SMBs to be “local” to their customers regardless of where they are. 

Additionally, the company supports withdrawing money to a local bank account or making batch payments to multiple suppliers through local licensed payment service providers.

In addition, the company continues to support the gaming industry through specialised events across Asia Pacific. 

For instance, the recent Game Changer 2.0 event in Islamabad in February this year provided an opportunity for game developers and gaming studios to connect with industry expertise.
