Organised by the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks (NSEZIPMB) and Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC (NSRP), the event marks the largest environmental campaign in the area to date.

NGHI SƠN — More than 400 volunteers collected around 30 tonnes of waste along the coast of Nghi Sơn Bay, Thanh Hóa Province, on Sunday, in the Beach Cleanup Campaign 2025.
This event also marked the kickoff of the long-term “Nghi Sơn Green” initiative.
Organised by the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks (NSEZIPMB) and Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC (NSRP), the event marks the largest environmental campaign in the area to date.
The activity, held in response to World Environment Day (June 5), received strong support from 31 local enterprises, government units, and community members. It aims to promote environmental protection, raise awareness, and foster sustainable growth across the Nghi Sơn Economic Zone.
As part of the campaign, NSRP and partners donated waste management tools worth nearly VNĐ200 million (US$7,700) to Nghi Sơn Commune.
This first large-scale clean-up marks a strong start for the 'Nghi Sơn Green' programme, which aims to turn the area into a national model for green industrial development in Việt Nam. With active cooperation between local businesses, authorities, and the community, the campaign sets the foundation for future joint environmental efforts.
Speaking at the event, Yamato Kazutaka, general director of NSRP, said: “For the first time, we carried out a beach cleanup in the Nghi Sơn area with local enterprises, authorities and communities connected to Nghi Sơn Bay.
"This effort not only protects the environment but also helps preserve tourism resources and strengthens our commitment to sustainable development in the region.” — BIZHUB
