HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The members of the management board of Ocean Hospitality, a subsidiary of the Ocean Group, have temporarily appointed Huynh Trung Nam as their chairman.

Nam replaces Ha Van Tham who was arrested over charges of violating the regulations governing credit institutions' operations.

Tham, former chairman of the Ocean Bank's Board of Directors, was suspended by the State Bank of Viet Nam on October 24. On the same day, with approval from the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Police Investigation Agency under the Ministry of Public Securities arrested Tham and examined his assets and documents. He will be put in temporary detention for four months for further investigation.

Ocean Hospitality is responsible for investing in and operating a chain of hotels as well as related services. — VNS
