HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Chairwoman of the Ocean Commercial Joint Stock Bank's board of directors Dao Thi Thuy resigned from her post on April 3, the bank said on Monday.

The State Bank of Viet Nam has appointed Do Thanh Son, former director of Vietinbank Branch 11 in HCM City, to carry out all the work related to the board of directors of Ocean Bank.

Son's photo has been placed at the top on the bank's web page, with the designation of Ocean Bank Representative.

It is the third time Ocean Bank has changed its chairman since October 2014, when the then Chairman Ha Van Tham was arrested for violating the rules governing the credit institution.

Then, 42-year-old Nguyen Minh Thu, who was appointed to replace Tham, was arrested in January 2015 for alleged involvement in Tham's case.

Dao Thi Thuy, with a bachelor's degree in finance, used to work as an independent member in the bank. In April 2014, she joined the board of directors.

The bank has no chairman at present, and there is no plan for the next annual general meeting of shareholders. — VNS
