NINH THUẬN — The Ninh Thuận Department of Construction signed a contract with Hoàng Quân Bình Thuận Real Estate Consulting - Trading - Services Joint Stock Company to implement a social housing project in the Thành Hải resettlement area.
The project is located in Thành Hải Commune, Phan Rang-Tháp Chàm City, Ninh Thuận Province, with a total investment of over VNĐ1.13 trillion (US$44.4 million).
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoàng Quân Bình Thuận Group Trương Anh Tuấn said that the project will cover a land area of over 19,000 square metres with a construction floor area exceeding 126,900 square metres, and will be a 15-storey development.
It will include 1,155 social housing units and 197 commercial housing units.
Project implementation will take place within two and a half years from the date the investment contract is signed.
Tuấn said the investor aims to begin construction in the second quarter of this year. They will accelerate progress to put the project into use by the fourth quarter of 2026, earlier than planned.
Vice chairman of the Ninh Thuận Provincial People's Committee Lê Huyền said that the demand for social housing in the province remains substantial.
Once completed, the project will not only provide housing opportunities for many low-income households and policy beneficiaries, but also contribute to attracting investment, improving infrastructure and promoting trade and services, urban development and workforce growth. It will enhance social welfare and help the province achieve its 13 per cent economic growth target this year.
Under the Prime Minister’s directive, Ninh Thuận Province has been assigned a target of developing 6,560 social housing units by 2030 to ensure that low-income individuals have access to housing. — BIZHUB
