A new bus route that runs from downtown HCM City to the international Tân Sơn Nhất Airport was launched on March 16.

Route 109 will operate from 12:00 am to 2:30 am and from 5:00 am to 11:45 pm, making 110 trips per day from the 23 September Park in District 1 to Tan Son Nhat Airport in Tân Binh District.
The 63-seat buses, imported from South Korea, will depart every 15 minutes on the 10.4km route, taking about 45 minutes to cover the distance.
The fare is VND12,000 (US$0.5) for distances less than five kilometres and VND20,000 ($0.8) for more than five kilometres.
The city now has two bus routes to the airport: No.152 and No.109.
The new route, operated by the Southern Airport Transportation Joint Stock Company, is expected to meet rapidly increasing demand of both locals and tourists for economical and efficient public transportation.
