HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Viet Nam had recorded a trade surplus of US$474 million with Turkey in the first five months of 2014, Cong Thuong (Industry and Trade) newspaper has reported.
According to the newspaper, this amount was equivalent to 93 per cent of the country's total export turnover.
The two-way trade between Viet Nam and Turkey hit $548 million in the reviewed period, of which the former's exports fetched around $511 million.

Bilateral trade is expected to reach $696.7 million in the first half of the year, an increase of 26 per cent year-on-year, according to data released by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Of the total, Viet Nam's export turnover is estimated at $611.5 million, up 20 per cent, while its imports will rise 17.3 per cent to $52.2 million. — VNS
