Mondelez Kinh Do has donated VND3 billion (US$130,000) to the National COVID-19 Vaccine Fund.
It has contributed VND1.3 billion to HCM City, VND1 billion to Binh Duong Province and VND700 million to Hung Yen Province through the local units of the Fatherland Front.
Hemant Rupani, the company’s managing director, said: “Social responsibility is part of our operations in all the markets in which we operate. In Viet Nam, as one of the leading companies in the food industry, we have made efforts to maintain the supply of essential products to consumers during the past time and donated products to those affected by the pandemic.”
Since the COVID-19 outbreak began in early 2020, Mondelez Kinh Do has been supporting the community.
It has donated products worth more than VND5 billion ($217,000) to frontline medical workers and people living in locked-down areas to ensure they get nutritious food and to provide encouragement to them during what is a tough period, the company said. — VNS
