HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Viet Nam Mobile Telecom Services Company (Mobifone) and the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) signed an agreement on comprehensive co-operation on Monday.
The two sides have committed to develop the telecommunications, information and technology (IT) services and training for highly qualified IT human resources.
Based on the agreement, Mobifone and PTIT are expected to effectively use their existing capacity and advantages for a common interest.
Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son said at the signing ceremony that he highly appreciated the "shake-hand" initiative between Mobifone and PTIT.
He suggested that the two sides should regularly exchange information so that the comprehensive co-operation becomes a long-term strategic co-operation.
Mobifone Chairman Mai Van Binh said that the agreement has determined the efforts the company should take to develop the products and applications, expand the customers' network and improve the quality of human resources.
Binh said that Mobifone would provide PTIT's lecturers and students with practical support to help them access the company's technology environment and network.
MobiFone and PTIT are being managed by the Ministry of Information and Communications.
