Mexican businesses open representative office in Viet Nam


National Association of Importers and Exporters of Mexico (ANIERM) has opened representative offices in 45 foreign countries, including Viet Nam, reported the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico.

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — National Association of Importers and Exporters of Mexico (ANIERM) has opened representative offices in 45 foreign countries, including Viet Nam, reported the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico.

Speaking at the opening ceremony held recently in Mexico, Chairman of ANIERM Pérez Behr said that the main target of the offices was to help Mexican enterprises and those in the countries which has AMIERM offices to develop business.

He also pointed to factors impacting the country's foreign trade including tax fraud and administrative procedures still remained sluggish.

Minister of Public Administration Virgilio Andrade Martinez emphasised the importance of foreign trade areas for his country's development.

The minister also pledged to fight against negative impacts in Mexico that the ANIERM chairman had mentioned.

A delegation of Mexican businesses will visit Viet Nam in May this year to seek business opportunities and meet Vietnamese partners.

Viet Nam and Mexico agreed to set up a joint committee on economic, trade, and investment cooperation in February.

The economic-trade co-operation between the two countries has seen strong strides and Mexico was Viet Nam's second large trade partner in South America, behind only Brazil. Meanwhile, Viet Nam was Mexico's 12th largest trade partner in the Asian-Pacific region.

Established in 1944, ANIERM is a non-profit organisation, supporting businesses in areas of export, import, logistics, credit institutions, travel agencies and association with the Mexico's foreign trade communities.— VNS
