HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Over 250 companies from 30 countries are taking part in Vietstock 2014 Expo and Forum that opened in HCM City on October 15.
Hosted by the Department of Livestock Production, the three-day event, the country's biggest feed, livestock and meat industry event, is a one-stop shop for livestock professionals to find solutions for business needs and enhance manageability and increase profits.
A highlight this year is the presence of pavilions from the Czech Republic, Denmark, the UK, and the Netherlands.
"With its theme of restructuring the livestock industry for improving value and achieving sustainable development, the event is a good opportunity for both domestic and international businesses to showcase their latest achievements, new trends, production management, and innovation," Hoang Thanh Van, heard of the department, said.
The event, at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Centre in District 7, is a place for scientists, managers, and farmers to connect, interact, update, and adopt modern techniques to Vietnamese conditions, or, in short, integrate the country's livestock sector with the outside world.
It will feature several conferences on its sidelines. — VNS
