Lotte Mart has donated gift packs to 600 residents in the two flood-hit provinces of Ha Tinh and Quang Binh.
The packs consist of essential items like rice, instant noodles, milk, cooking oil, and spices.
They were totally worth VND200 million (US$8,849), and more than half was funded by contributions from customers at the Korean retailer’s 13 outlets in the country.
In the middle of last month heavy rains caused flooding in the region, inundating tens of thousands of houses and crops in many places in the two provinces. — VNS
