DA NANG — Future Lighting Company confirmed its interest to invest in a plant to manufacture light-emitting diode (LED) traffic lights and renewable energy lighting products in central city.

This new development was revealed by a representative of the company at a conference on advanced technologies on LED lights in the city.

It is the first energy-saving product project to be initiated in the city.

Last year, the city signed a Memorandum of Understanding related to energy efficiency and climate change with two partners – the Korea Energy Management Corporation (KEMCO) and LG Electronics Viet Nam.

The city has currently secured 28 foreign direct projects, which is being viewed as the biggest investment from South Korea worth US$701 million. — VNS
