KB Securities has provided VND2.6 billion (US$104,354) to repair and upgrade classrooms, libraries, computer rooms, and foreign language classrooms to a school in Hoa Binh Province under its Rainbow classroom project.
The Lac Sy Primary and Secondary School in Yen Thuy District has nearly 500 students from predominantly ethnic areas and 43 teachers.
The Rainbow project, carried out together with World Vision Korea and World Vision Vietnam, seeks to identify areas that still lack educational facilities and mitigate it.
Lac Sy’s facilities had deteriorated and it lacked teaching equipment.
“KB Securities will assist in the mission of providing knowledge to and empowering the country’s future generations for a more prosperous future,” Kim SungHyun, general director of the company, said. — VNS
