HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The State Bank of Viet Nam (SBV) has hired Tinhvan Technologies JSC of Viet Nam and Tech Mahindra Ltd. of India to build a document and human resources management system.
The SBV gave the contract to the joint venture bidders here on December 5.
Worth nearly US$1.8 million, the bid, called SG 3.2, will be implemented in 18 months, from December 2014 to May 2016.
It is the main contract of the Financial Sector Modernisation and Information Management System Project (FSMIMS), which aims to support the SBV in improving the document management process of its departments and branches in cities and provinces, as well as increase its efficiency in searching for data in its own documents. It also helps the SBV to manage and use its employees effectively.
The World Bank sponsored the project, providing $71.83 million to support the SBV, National Credit Information Centre of Vietnam (CIC) and Deposit Insurance of Vietnam (DIV) in enhancing their ability to meet international standards in the banking sector.
In late November, FPT Information System Company Ltd. won the DG#1 contract to provide DIV with a new information and communications system that would tighten security for depositors. The contract is also part of the FSMIMS project. — VNS
