THUA THIEN — HUE (Biz Hub) — Budget carrier Jetstar Pacific Airlines (JPA) officially launched its new route between Hue Ancient City's Phu Bai Airport and Cam Ranh International Airport in southern Khanh Hoa Province at a ceremony on April 4.
This is the third low-cost route the airline has opened in Hue. The first and second routes are between Hue and HCM City and Da Lat City in the Central Highlands Lam Dong Province.
The airline's general director, Le Hong Ha, said the new flight from Hue to Cam Ranh would begin from April 26 to serve visitors to Hue Festival 2016, which will be held from April 29 to May 4 with various cultural, sport and art activities.
The airline is scheduled to operate two return flights on Tuesday and Saturday each week, using a 180-seat plane, the Airbus A-320.
The new flight will depart from Cam Ranh airport at 07:25pm and will return from Huế at 9:15pm, with total traveling time of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Jetstar Pacific also offered a promotional rate on April 4 for the new route and 30 other domestic and international flights at VNĐ31,000 (US$1.37) for a one-way trip, with bookings from April 4 to April 6.
The airline's two largest shareholders are Vietnam Airlines and Qantas (Qantas Airways) of Australia. — VNS
