HCM CITY (Biz Hub) – The latest products and equipment in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries are on display at the Pharmed and Healthcare Vietnam 2013 that opened on Wednesday at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Center in HCM City's District 7.

The expo, the eight of its kind, has attracted the participation of 416 companies from 21 countries and territories.

Products on display at 550 booths are divided into five categories: pharmaceutical processing and packaging equipment, medical equipment and devices, laboratory diagnostic equipment, beauty-care products and equipment, and hospital equipment and supplies.

Nguyen Van Tuu, chairman of the Viet Nam Pharmaceutical Companies Association, said for the first time a conference and exhibition on high-quality medical service has been organised with the event, targeting to provide more information about high-quality medical services to local residents.

Several seminars, including one on hospital waste and wastewater treatment, and another on difficulties in importation of medical devices, will be held during the four-day event.
