There will be conferences during the exhibition, including on opportunities and challenges for Viet Nam’s dairy industry from the CPTPP and efficiently and sustainably developing small- and medium-scale dairy farming.

The organisers have collaborated with Vinamilk to organise Viet Nam milk festival event to mark the World Milk Day and International Children’s Day, June 1, with exciting activities for children, art performances and nutrition consultancy.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prof Dr Tran Quang Trung, chairman of the Viet Nam Dairy Association, said the dairy industry has being synchronously modernised from producing raw materials to making finished products.

This has helped raise its competitiveness, enabling it to penetrate the world market and better meet customers’ needs, he said.

The industry enjoyed average revenue growth of 12.7 per cent in 2010-18, the highest growth rate for any group of food products from the livestock sector, he said.

The exhibition is an important trade promotion activity, a bridge for domestic and international businesses to meet, exchange, seek partners, expand markets, and enhance investment and investment co-operation, improving the competitiveness of the dairy industry, he added.
