HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — The ninth International Exhibition on Electrical Technology and Equipment and the sixth International Exhibition on Products, Technologies of Energy Saving and Green Power opened in HCM City on July 20.
Vietnam ETE 2016 and Enertec Expo 2016 feature nearly 250 booths set up by more than 160 local and international exhibitors in the fields of green energy and electrical equipment, including from Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, and Germany.
Several conferences would be held on the sidelines of the events, Pham Thanh Kien, director of the city Department of Industry and Trade, said.
With increasing investment to improve their production technologies, Vietnamese firms in the energy and electrical equipment sectors make advanced products which meet not only domestic quality standards but also export standards, he said.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Le Thanh Liem, deputy chairman of the city People's Committee, said besides the opportunity to showcase their technologies and products, the two exhibitions also offer local and foreign exhibitors a chance to compare notes and explore business opportunities.
Organised by the department, the HCM City Power Corporation, and C.I.S Viet Nam Advertising and Exhibition Joint Stock Company, the exhibitions, on at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Centre in District 7, will go on until July 23. — VNS
