Huawei selected and awarded 50 Seeds for the Future scholarships for excellent and talented students across the country at TechFest Vinh Phuc 2022.

The scholarships aim to create motivation for them to develop further, contributing to the progress of the Innovation Startup ecosystem in Vinh Phuc Province in particular and the country in general.

In the Seeds for the Future programme, talented students will receive opportunities to learn new technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), Cloud, and Internet of Things (IoT), visit Huawei’s technology exhibition centre, participate in Tech4Good global competitions, discuss technology knowledge with experts, and share culture with international friends.

Speaking at the event, Fang Yu, Deputy General Director of Huawei Vietnam, said: "Along with the development of technology and digital transformation, Huawei sees that there is a big gap between demand and supply of ICT talent. As an experienced company in both ICT development and application, Huawei realises that talent is an important factor, so it’s necessary for Huawei and other universities and organisations to cooperate, share business experiences and build a solid ICT ecosystem."

He also said: “I hope that students can take opportunities of the Seeds for the Future programme to learn and to access new technologies, then contribute to Viet Nam's national digital transformation.” — VNS
