Hana Bank donates VND6 billion to COVID-19 vaccine fund

Hana Bank, the strategic partner of BIDV, have donated VND6 billion (US$261,000) to Viet Nam’s COVID-19 vaccine fund.

In response to the call to contribute to the country’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Hana Bank donated the cash via an account opened at the BIDV.

Nguyen Huu Dung, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, expressed his thanks and spoke highly of Hana Bank’s support to Viet Nam’s COVID-19 response.

The donation will provide more resources to Viet Nam’s vaccine supply programme, allowing more people to be vaccinated and implement disease prevention measures.

The contribution of South Korean businesses to Viet Nam’s community activities also help to foster the friendship and promote the co-operation between the two countries.

Ham Jin Sik – Director of Hana Bank Ha Noi Branch said: “It’s our pleasure to contribute to the vaccine fund and work with the Government and people of Viet Nam to achieve the 'dual' goal which consists of preventing the pandemic and ensuring production and business development, therefore contributing to the overall growth of the Vietnamese economy.
