The route offered 949,249 seats in August, coming just after Jeju International – Seoul Simpo with more than 1.2 million seats and Sapporo New Chitose – Tokyo Haneda with 1.06 million seats.
It is also the busiest domestic route in Southeast Asia, exceeding the number of seats offered on domestic routes in other countries, including Jakarta – Makassar (Indonesia) with 569,526 seats, Jakarta – Bali with 473,276 seats, Cebu – Manila (the Philippines) with 450,053 seats.
Two other domestic airline routes of Việt Nam were also among the top ten busiest domestic routes in Southeast Asia in August.
Đà Nẵng – HCM City ranked fifth with a total of 427,779 seats, while Đà Nẵng – Hà Nội ranked seventh.
Other domestic routes in the top ten in Southeast Asia included Surabaya – Makassar, Jakarta – Medan, Jakarta – Surabaya and Davao – Manila. — VNS
