HCM CITY — Vietnamese game publisher Gamota, a member of Appota Group won several key awards at the annual gaming industry event, Vietnam GameVerse 2025, held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in HCM City.
The event, which celebrates innovation and excellence in game development and publishing, honoured Tiếu Ngạo as Game of the Year. Developed by Perfect World and released locally by Gamota, the multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is based on Kim Dung’s novel.
The game drew praise for its engaging storyline, crisp graphics and interactive community features, outperforming strong competitors such as Yulgang Origin VTC, Zenless Zone Zero and Thiên Long Bát Bộ VNG.
Gamota also took home the Best Mobile Game award for Zenless Zone Zero, an action role-playing game created by Hoyoverse. Set in a dystopian sci-fi universe, the title drew attention for its stylish visuals, fast-paced gameplay and cinematic world-building.
Beyond the headline categories, Gamota received multiple other recognitions. Its title Tru Tiên 3D earned praise for both its gameplay longevity and community strength, with awards for best ongoing game, most popular gaming community and top-five favourite character for Lục Tuyết Kỳ. Zenless Zone Zero was also listed among the top five games of the year.
Gamota CEO Vũ Thị Trang said the awards marked the third year in a row the company had been recognised at GameVerse. “Việt Nam’s game industry is growing rapidly, and we believe it will become a global destination for gaming in the near future,” she said.
