The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines said yesterday that a number of flights between Vietnam and France was cancelled in this month, affecting about 1,400 passenger of the airline due to the ongoing Air France pilot strike.

The cancelled flights were those connecting HCM City with Paris under a codeshare agreement between the two carrier agencies.
Specifically, four flights from Paris to HCM City were cancelled on September 16, 18, 25 and 27 and six others from HCM City to Paris on September 17, 19, 22, 26, 28 and 29.
In addition, one flight from HCM City to Paris was delayed for 24 hours on September 21. Many other passengers on codeshare flights from Paris to Europe have also been affected.
Vietnam Airlines has taken flexible measures to ensure the travel of its passengers.
