HAI PHONG (Biz Hub)— Improving technology for Viet Nam's marine economy was highlighted at a two-day forum in coastal northern Hai Phong City that ended on Tuesday.

About 300 participants, including domestic and foreign researchers, officials from 28 coastal provinces an d cities, and foreign businesses assessed opportunities to develop the nation's sea-based economy.

According to the General Department of Vietnamese Sea and Islands, Viet Nam's 2020 Marine Strategy is aimed at enabling the nation at becoming a strong and rich sea-based nation by 2020 in line with its historic position.-VNS
