HCM CITY — A total of 562 enterprises will receive the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods (HVNCLC) certification this year based on consumer votes, including 41 receiving the recognition for the first time, according to the Business Association of High Quality Vietnamese Goods.

They were selected from a consumer survey based on offline interviews with customers and sellers in major cities and online interviews with customers nationwide, the association said.

Speaking at the press conference to announce the survey results in HCM City on March 18, Nguyễn Văn Phượng, in charge of the consumer survey for 2025, said the number of certified enterprises this year has increased by 33 businesses compared to last year. Notably, 32 companies have maintained their position on this prestigious list for 29 consecutive years.

Phượng noted that among the newly recognised enterprises, many have made breakthrough efforts in distribution, significantly expanding their market coverage in the domestic sector. Several first-time awardees are also in the group of leading exporters, successfully penetrating high-demand markets such as the US, EU, and Japan.

They are also pioneers in applying high industry standards in their production and business operations, including certifications like ISO 22,000 and HACCP.

The survey on the implementation of green production practices among businesses revealed a noteworthy trend, with most enterprises integrating green initiatives frequently or very frequently into their operations.

"Businesses are not only focused on improving production efficiency but are also demonstrating a strong commitment to long-term strategies for green growth and sustainable development," he said.

Notably, over one-third of enterprises stated that they plan to build their business and production strategies based on environmental and social criteria, considering these the most critical factors in achieving green growth and sustainable development, he added.

According to the survey, the 562 enterprises have contributed nearly VNĐ168 trillion to the national budget, accounting for approximately 8.4 per cent of Việt Nam’s total state revenue in 2024. These businesses have also provided full-time employment for 246,773 workers and part-time jobs for 10,135 employees, he said.

Vũ Kim Hạnh, chairwoman of the association and director of the Business Studies and Assistance Centre, highlighted an interesting finding from this year’s survey, saying that more than 20 provinces and cities have praised businesses for their compliance with legal business policies, particularly their strong environmental performance.

She also emphasised that in the current landscape of geopolitical and economic fluctuations, businesses must quickly reassess consumer behaviour shifts to adapt to changing market trends in a timely manner.

The awards ceremony will be held at the Reunification Convention Hall in HCM City’s District 1 on March 25. The event will also be livestreamed on the association’s official social media platforms. — VNS
