Doosan exports boilers to Indian power plant


Doosan Heavy Industries Viet Nam has sent the eighth and final shipment of the first made-in-Viet Nam Supercritical Once-thru power plant boilers to Kudgi, India, after 15 months of production.

QUANG NGAI (Biz Hub) — Doosan Heavy Industries Viet Nam has sent the eighth and final shipment of the first made-in-Viet Nam Supercritical Once-thru power plant boilers to Kudgi, India, after 15 months of production.

The company said on June 5 that the two 800 Megawatt super-critical coal-fired boilers, weighing over 13,000 tonnes, will be assembled on site atthe Kudgi Power Plant in Southwest Indiaand will soon begin producing power.

Doosan Vina had signed a US$77-million contract last year to produce high-end boilers for the thermal power plant.

Doosan Vinahas previously exported Viet Nam-manufactured boilers to Brazil, Saudi Arabia, India and Egypt.— VNS
