HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Viet Nam's cell phone export turnover to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was worth US$1.36 billion over the first five months this year, according to the General Department of Customs.
With this, UAE became the largest import market of Viet Nam's cell phones, accounting for more than 17.7 per cent of the country's total cell phone export turnover.
Cell phones accounted for nearly 87 per cent of Viet Nam's total export turnover to this market in the first five months, which reached nearly $1.6 billion.
Together with cell phones, other commodities with large export turnover to UAE were computers and components at $53.5 million, pepper at $29.4 million and garments and textiles at nearly $22.9 million. — VNS
