The Blockchain for Sustainable Development Goals Europe - Asia Tour will arrive in HCM City on November 24 after visiting Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, the UK, and Switzerland.
Global experts and local thought leaders will take part in the event and speak about the social impacts and business roles of blockchain technology and its use in compliance with local regulations.
“Blockchain technology is becoming the talk of the town in Viet Nam,” Doan Kieu My, chairwoman of Viet Nam node, European Blockchain Hub, said.
“However, most of the current ongoing events focus on explaining mass issues with no tangible showcases or results or discussing macroeconomics and government regulations.
“We had a vision together with the Government and other funding partners to create EUBCHUB, which will unite governments, NGOs, start-ups, and universities and educate people that the blockchain technology is the next step for us that will bring a lot of changes.”
This event will provide a forum for policymakers and other stakeholders to interact with their peers on the potential applications of blockchain technology and lessons learnt from existing applications.
It will promote global partnerships to advance the application of blockchain technology in 18 countries across Europe and Asia and showcase how innovative start-ups and entrepreneurs are developing blockchain-based solutions to solve issues related to the sustainable development goals.
The event will be organised by the European Blockchain HUB together with Startup Viet Nam Foundation and Getlinks. — VNS
