Binh Thuan tourism deriving development momentum from well planned giant projects

A series of events will be held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of the south-central province of Binh Thuan, and to help achieve the province’s plan of welcoming 4.5 million visitors this year.

A series of events will be held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of the south-central province of Binh Thuan, and to help achieve the province’s plan of welcoming 4.5 million visitors this year.

This year the province’s tourism sector is expected to see miraculous growth thanks to a multitude of international quality hospitality projects developed by giant developers including NovaWorld.

Binh Thuan started to develop tourism from scratch after its re-establishment in 1992.

According to its deputy chairman, Nguyen Minh, it has now become a major destination for both domestic and overseas tourists with its many offerings such as leisure tourism, sightseeing, tourism combined with sports, religious tourism, and visits to islands.

As of July this year Binh Thuan had 382 tourism projects (of which 188 are open to visitors) on a total of 6,3000 ha with a total registered capital of VND70 trillion.

The province, especially Phan Thiet city, has been recognised as a national tourism area by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which has made it an international tourism brand.

According to experts' forecasts, when Phan Thiet airport opens, Binh Thuan tourism will achieve its big goals and repeat the feat of Phu Quoc seven years ago.

Binh Thuan has become a key national tourism hub with a diverse range of products.

It is estimated that 2.9 million tourists visited the province in the first seven months of 2022, an over 67 per cent year-on-year increase.

Tourism revenues were an estimated VND5.7 trillion, nearly 39 per cent higher.

The breakthrough growth in the tourism sector has promoted the hospitality market in Binh Thuan.

It is also notable that well-planned and developed hospitality projects have pushed the market upward.

Of the projects, NovaWorld Phan Thiet has strongly impressed investors and tourists thanks to its ecosystem comprising scores of international standard amenities including sports, entertainment and shopping complexes.

On August 31 Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a government delegation visited NovaWorld Phan Thiet.

Speaking during the visit, PM Chinh stressed that NovaWorld Phan Thiet is a big project with many world-class functions and amenities.

He urged Novaland Group to develop NovaWorld in harmony with nature and the environment since it plays an important role in developing the local tourism industry and creating stable jobs for local people.

Momentum from billion-dollar project

It is large-scale projects of thousands of hectares such as NovaWorld Phan Thiet that have contributed to creating a new look for a pristine land, turning arid sand dunes into a leading tourist and entertainment destination in Viet Nam.

Visitors to Phan Thiet now have the opportunity to experience many world-class resort services at the "all in one" ecosystem at NovaWorld Phan Thiet such as PGA standard golf clusters, sports complex for multiple international sports, an American-style Circus Land amusement park, the five-star international Movenpick hotel ...

“High-end, well-invested, large-scale resort complexes like NovaWorld Phan Thiet with the presence of famous global brands will be the driving force to make Binh Thuan a top tourism destination," Tran Ba Thien, an investor in NovaWorld Phan Thiet, said.

NovaWorld Phan Thiet offer a high quality of life for its residents.

After the success of NovaWorld Phan Thiet, Novaland is now developing a super project called NovaWorld Mui Ne - Marina City, which is oriented to become a ‘City of yachts - international destination."

The 800-hectare project has an international yacht bay with a capacity of berthing up to 1,000 vessels just 10 minutes by road from Phan Thiet airport.

The new project is forecast to be a new attraction for Binh Thuan tourism.

Novaland's plans are in line with the national strategy and master plan for tourism development for until 2020 with a vision to 2030, which identified Binh Thuan as one of the key areas for tourism development.

During a visit to Binh Thuan on the occasion of the 30 years of re-establishment of the province, Prime Minister Chinh also reiterated that the province should earmark optimal locations for production and business activities to create jobs and give local people the chance to join and benefit from them.

Large projects such as NovaWorld Phan Thiet and NovaWorld Mui Ne not only contribute to the growth of the local tourism industry but also create momentum for Viet Nam's tourism industry to reach far and wide on the international travel map.
