HA NOI (Biz Hub)— Benchmark indices closed down on both national stock exchanges this morning.
The VN-Index on HCM City Exchange lost 0.35 per cent to close at 499.33 points.
Trading value totalled VND797.236 billion (US$37.96 million) on the exchange of more than 69.87 million shares.
The VN30-Index, tracking the southern city's largest shares by capitalisation and liquidity, also tumbled 0.36 per cent to 557.28 points with losers overwhelming gainers by 16-9.
Losers included insurance Bao Viet Group (BVH), real estate Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAG), Hoa Phat (HPG), Masan (MSN), Vietcombank (VCB) and Vingroup (VIC).
On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index closed this morning at 63.9 points, 0.25 per cent lower.
Around 35 million shares changed hands on a total value of VND257.1 billion ($12.24 million).
The HNX-30 Index slid 0.2 per cent to 121.12 points. – VNS
