Bắc Ninh builds large-scale high-tech agricultural production zone


As part of the province's development plan for the 2021-23 period with a vision to 2025, the province will build three concentrated agriculture, forestry, and fishery development areas, the provincial portal reported.

BẮC NINH — The northern province of Băc Ninh plans to form high-tech agricultural production zones that focus on attracting projects in agricultural production and processing and eco-tourism development, local authorities have said. 

Bắc Ninh will develop a carrot production area, covering 300ha in Lương Tài and Gia Bình districts by 2030. It will also build factories for quality rice production in these localities. 

As part of the province's development plan for the 2021-23 period with a vision to 2025, the province will build three concentrated agriculture, forestry, and fishery development areas, the provincial portal reported. 

In addition to high-quality rice production and processing areas with a scale of about 5,000ha, safe fruit, and vegetable production areas will be developed, across a total area of 1,550ha.

Fruit growing areas that specialise in growing oranges, the speciality Diễn pomelo, green-skinned grapefruit, bananas, guavas and apples, over five hectares, will also be planted. — VNS
