BÀ RỊA-VŨNG TÀU — Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu Province’s industrial parks attracted investments of more than US$1.3 billion in nearly 40 new and existing domestic and foreign projects in the first four months of this year.
The parks house a total of 621 projects, 326 of them foreign-owned.
The province has 13 industrial parks with more than 7,200 hectares and an occupancy rate of nearly 68 per cent.
Four of them, Phú Mỹ 1, Mỹ Xuân A, Mỹ Xuân A2, and Đông Xuyên, are fully leased.
FDI flows into industrial production is one of the main drivers of the province’s impressive growth.
Châu Đức Urban Industrial Park and Golf Course has attracted many high-quality FDI projects such as Tripod, MingYue, Đông Phương, and Uy Việt.
As of the end of the first quarter of 2025 the park housed 110 projects that leased nearly 600ha, or 53 per cent of its total leasable area.
Sonadezi Châu Đức JSC, its developer, is accelerating site clearance and investment in infrastructure.
Some 150ha of land with technical infrastructure are ready for handover to investors for manufacturing.
The company seeks to develop Châu Đức into a green industrial park and simultaneously invest in the Châu Đức Urban Area and Golf Course to create an attractive, high-quality destination for investors.
The province plans to develop 24 industrial parks with a total area of 15,886ha by 2030, according to the board.
It will prioritise high-quality foreign investment to create value for the economy.
At the end of last year the province had nearly 500 foreign projects with total registered investment of more than US$33.3 billion.
This year it has attracted $995 million to rank sixth in the country in terms of FDI.
