HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian stock indices reported mixed results again during the final trading day of the week, after expanding their gains during the previous session.

The Tokyo Stock Exchange's Tokyo Price Index edged up 2.17 points to close at 1,523.85, and the Nikkei 225 added 12.15 points to close at 18,797.94.

In Viet Nam, the HCM City Stock Exchange's VN-Index slid 4.15 points to end at 592.57, while the Ha Noi market's HNX-Index finished 0.28 point lower at 85.77.

In China, the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index closed down 78.77 points at 24,823.29, while the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index gained 11.95 points to end at 24,823.29.

Singapore's Straits Times Index continued its losing streak, falling by 23.32 points to close at 3,402.86. — VNS
