Asian markets end higher


Asian markets ended higher on January 22.The Hang Seng Index climbed 170.05 points to reach 24,522.63 in Hong Kong, and the Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China increased by 19.73 points to close at 3,343.34.

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian markets ended higher on January 22.

The Hang Seng Index climbed 170.05 points to reach 24,522.63 in Hong Kong, and the Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China increased by 19.73 points to close at 3,343.34.

The Nikkei 225 added 48.54 points to reach 17,329.02, while the Topix Index slipped 1.18 points to close at 1,389.43 in Tokyo. The Straits Times Index also gained 15.83 points to end at 3,370.29 in Singapore.

The two bourses in Viet Nam ended higher on the same day. The VN Index added 5.42 points to close at 574.54, and the HNX increased by 1.04 points to finish at 85.6. — VNS
