HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Nguyen Thi Nga, chairman of the board of directors of Southeast Asia Joint Stock Commercial Bank (SeABank), was honoured with ASEAN Business Awards (ASEAN-ABA) in Myanmar's Nay Pyi Taw City.

Nga was bestowed the National Winner – Best Business Woman Leader and Most Admired ASEAN Enterprise Women Leader awards at the gala dinner, held on the sidelines of the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, on November 11.

The annual ASEAN-ABA, launched in 2007 by the ASEAN Business Council, has served as a platform to honour outstanding business people in the ASEAN. This year's event was attended by the President of Myanmar and the Prime Minister of Cambodia, as well as more than 1,000 officials from the ASEAN member countries and their enterprises.

Nga held key management positions in several large commercial banks in Viet Nam, including the Asia Pacific Joint Stock Commercial Bank and the Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank, before becoming the top leader in SeABank.

Earlier this year, Forbes magazine added her name to the top 50 Asia Power Women 2014 list. — VNS
