The Board of Directors of An Bình Commercial Joint Stock Bank's (ABBANK) has named Phạm Duy Hiếu as the bank’s CEO with effect from January 1, 2025.
HCM CITY — The Board of Directors of An Bình Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ABBANK) has named Phạm Duy Hiếu as the bank’s CEO with effect from January 1, 2025.
Hiếu, born in 1978, has a master’s degree in finance, monetary circulation, and credit from National Economics University and over 25 years of experience in the finance and banking sector.
He had taken on leadership roles at ABBANK in various periods and has been appointed as deputy CEO and entrusted with the duties and authorities of the CEO of the bank from August 10, 2023.
In addition to his 12-year journey of dedication and contributions to ABBANK, in the past, Hiếu also held senior management positions at various organisations, including Vietcombank Leasing, VietABank, VNDirect, Sabeco Fund Management, IPA Investment, and the Startup Vietnam Foundation (SVF).
With his extensive experience in finance, banking, and human resource development, coupled with his deep understanding of ABBANK’s system, Hiếu is expected to inspire a spirit of dedication and positive energy, and foster strong connection with the executive board and all employees to drive business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and create positive changes and breakthroughs towards realising the bank’s strategic goals for 2024–2028.
On taking over as CEO, Hiếu said ABBANK is undergoing a transformation to lift up its competitiveness through a strategy that focuses on providing flexible and effective financial solutions by leveraging customer insights, and implementing a comprehensive digitalisation.
